BUILD Boston Seeking Development Interns

STAT BOX

Know anyone interested in a fall internship? BUILD Boston has some part-time openings for Development Interns at their growing start-up non-profit.

BUILD is an innovative, college preparatory program, whose mission is to use entrepreneurship to excite and propel disengaged, low-income high school students to college and career success. Students develop their own business ideas, write business plans, pitch to funders, and launch real businesses. This real-world business experience makes school relevant and motivates disengaged youth to succeed. To help them become college-eligible, students also receive tutoring, test prep, mentoring, and advising for their schoolwork and college planning. For more information about BUILD, visit www.buildinboston.org

Did you know? Over the past 13 years, 95% of BUILD seniors have been accepted to college, with over 80% accepted to 4 year colleges and universities.

BUILD Boston seeks an innovative and motivated individual who is eager to learn and to contribute to the organization’s growth in Boston. The Development Intern will use an entrepreneurial and results-oriented approach to help advance the organization’s fundraising strategy and raise $1.5 million. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate projects related to fundraising, communications, and events. In this role, there will be many opportunities to attend networking events for BUILD, and to work closely with corporate partners and Board members.
