SheGives launched on a gorgeous night in September with rooftop cocktails in the Back Bay. At the launch event, the Board announced SheGives’ first portfolio of eight nonprofit organizations. They are a diverse slate, but all of them are connected to the Boston area, and all were chosen for, among other things, applying an innovative approach to solving an intractable social problem. We are thrilled and energized by the people at and mission of each one of the worthy organizations in our portfolio, and honored to follow them closely over the next two or three years. SheGives connects committed, inquisitive, engaged funders with a slate of diligenced nonprofits in the Greater Boston area. We provide members with relevant data about the nonprofits in our portfolio and an opportunity to meet directly with our nonprofits’ Executive Directors and senior staff in small settings that promote in-depth q&a’s and, ultimately, informed giving. Giving is personally driven, but because we give side-by-side our collective impact is greater.
