Youth Business Plan Competition
Saturday June 7, 2014 at Suffolk University
How You Can Help: Serve as a VIP Judge
The Youth Business Plan Competition is BUILD’s most exciting day of the year. BUILD’s 9th grade students will energize and inspire you as they pitch their business plans and showcase their infectious spirit of entrepreneurship. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see BUILD’s young entrepreneurs in action, and to share your expertise and experience with them. Our panel of judges is chosen from Boston’s C-level and senior executives. So far our Judges roster includes:
- Larry Weber, CEO of W2 Group
- Patrick Morley, CEO of Bit9
- Jon Abbott, CEO of WGBH
- Mike Baker, CEO of DataXu
- Rob Baldassarre, Managing Director at KPMG
- Andrew Gates, CEO of Azigo Inc.
- Marcy Axelrad, Sr. Director of Talent Operations at Wayfair
VIP Judges are needed from 9 am – 11:30 am, with an optional VIP Luncheon and Student Business Expo from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Click here to watch a 2 min video on the Business Plan Competition

Entrepreneur Games
Thursday June 19, 2014 from 5-9 pm
How You Can Help: Compete on a Team with your Company, or form your own Team
BUILD is joining forces with TUGG to host the 2nd Annual Entrepreneur Games, which will feature 500 entrepreneurs and investors from over 150 companies in the tech / startup community battling it out in a variety of athletic and non athletic games (i.e. Relay Races, Tug of War, Volleyball, Rhythmic Gymnastics, World’s Strongest Man, Guitar Hero Wars, Big Wheel Races and more.) Best of all, it’s for a great cause – all proceeds go to benefit BUILD Boston.

SheGives connects committed, inquisitive, engaged donors with a slate of diligenced nonprofits in the Greater Boston area. We provide members with relevant data about the nonprofits in our portfolio and an opportunity to meet directly with our nonprofits’ Executive Directors and senior staff in small settings that promote in-depth q&a’s and, ultimately, informed giving. Giving is personally driven, but because we give side-by-side our collective impact is greater. See a list of the vetted nonprofits selected for our slate here.
