What would you like the SheGives community to know about food rescue?
I want us as a community to keep our eyes on the ball here – let’s not try and industrialize hunger, hunger relief or food rescue. The point is really to streamline the holes in our food system AND our social service system.
What has the community been saying about Lovin’ Spoonfuls?
I’m flattered when folks say we’re innovative and that I’m an entrepreneur, but I’m not sure this is the space for an influx of start-ups. Lovin’ Spoonfuls is a much needed response to some holes in the system.
How can we all help to solve the issue of food waste?
Not wasting food begins at home – collectively, we can put real value back into how we look at, treat and consume food. Get yourself educated about food, the food system and about how solvable this problem really is!
