Q: What did you do before working at BUILD?
A: I worked for Upward Bound, a college preparatory program for high school students.
Q: What job or training best prepared you to work at BUILD?
A: Definitely Upward Bound!
Q: What did you have to learn to do in order to be able to do your job?
A: The E1 program has a lot of events, starting with a college tour and culminating with the Business Plan Competition, the capstone event of a year of hard work by our 9th grade students, and their mentors. Since the E1 program is event heavy, in order for me to be able to do my job effectively I’ve had to learn a lot of the back drop that goes into each event. It’s been quite the experience!
