Q: WHAT IS THE LAST MEAL YOU’D HAVE ON EARTH AND WHO WOULD COOK IT FOR YOU?

A: I would have a huge, abundant, tasty, and lengthy Thanksgiving meal with my entire family and all my friends – all those far-flung souls I’ll never get in one place together. And I would cook for them all to express how much I love and miss them.

Q: ISN’T THANKSGIVING JUST THE BEST – THE WHOLE FALL SEASON, REALLY?

A: Yes and this fall is the best I can remember in 12 years of living in New England. Right now, I’m loving biking through the lanes of Lincoln, Lexington, Concord in this fabulous, fall weather.

Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR OTHER FAVORITE PLACES AND PASSIONS?

A: Well, I love visiting gardens – Boston’s own Tower Hill and Arnold Arboretum, Red Butte Garden in Utah, Longwood in Pennsylvania, the New York Botanical Garden – and garden festivals, especially the ever-rotating Chaumont-sur-Loire themed Gardens in France. And I adore Stone Barns in New York with the Blue Hill restaurant and café. Amazing.

Q: WOW, NEXT TIME I GO GARDEN-HOPPING, I’M GOING WITH YOU! LAST QUESTION: WHO BROUGHT YOU INTO SHEGIVES AND WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT HER?

A: Kathy Taudvin asked me to be a founding member of SheGives. I love her courage and her willingness to share authentically of herself. I love her straightforwardness tempered by respectful boundaries, and I love her style!

SheGives connects committed, inquisitive, engaged funders with a slate of diligenced nonprofits in the Greater Boston area.  We provide members with relevant data about the nonprofits in our portfolio and an opportunity to meet directly with our nonprofits’ Executive Directors and senior staff in small settings that promote in-depth q&a’s and, ultimately, informed giving.  Giving is personally driven, but because we give side-by-side our collective impact is greater.
