Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TELEVISION SERIES (PAST OR PRESENT)?

A: Columbo. I have a thing for older detective shows. If it comes on the Hallmark Channel, there’s a good chance that I will watch it! Columbo, Matlock, Murder She Wrote…I love them all. My mom is fan of Columbo, so that’s I got hooked. I appreciate how inquisitive and unassuming he [the title character] is with each case.

Q: NICE! WHAT ABOUT SOME OF THE NEWER DETECTIVE SHOWS THAT ARE OUT NOW, LIKE SHERLOCK?

A: I actually haven’t checked that out, but I am a hardcore fan of Law and Order, in any iteration. The best news I received earlier this month was that Murder She Wrote may be coming back, starring Octavia Spencer. I’m stoked for that!

Q: OOH, SHE WAS GREAT AS MINNY IN THE HELP! SWITCHING GEARS, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD?

A: Harlem, New York. I enjoy the mix of history and culture — old and new — that one finds on every corner. I always find great food and even better people on every visit.

Q: LOVE HARLEM. I ACTUALLY WORKED ON 125TH ONE SUMMER IN COLLEGE. BUT LET’S WRAP UP: WHO BROUGHT YOU INTO SHEGIVES, AND WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT HER?

A: Rachael Weiker introduced me to SheGives. I love that Rachael is so thoughtful and smart…and organized! I am seriously jealous of the way she manages to stay on task with so many meaningful commitments. She also bakes really tasty things to share with us at school!

SheGives connects committed, inquisitive, engaged funders with a slate of diligenced nonprofits in the Greater Boston area.  We provide members with relevant data about the nonprofits in our portfolio and an opportunity to meet directly with our nonprofits’ Executive Directors and senior staff in small settings that promote in-depth q&a’s and, ultimately, informed giving.  Giving is personally driven, but because we give side-by-side our collective impact is greater. See a list of the vetted nonprofits selected for our slate here.
